We aim to create superior value for all stakeholders by disrupting traditional market segments with innovative solutions for both the industry and consumers.We’re currently seeking a driven and knowledgeable Insurance Broker – Legal Expense Insurance Specialist to join our team and enhance our legal expense insurance offerings.Job PurposeWe are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Insurance Broker specializing in Legal Expense Insurance to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our legal expense insurance offerings, building relationships with clients, and providing tailored insurance solutions to meet their needs. You will collaborate closely with underwriting, marketing, and support teams to ensure our clients' legal expense insurance requirements are met efficiently and effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on legal expense insurance coverage that suits their needs.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal teammates.Analyze client risk exposures and recommend coverage options.Prepare and present quotes for new business, renewals, and endorsements.Process policy documentation, including applications, binders, and certificates of insurance.Collaborate with underwriting and sales teams to ensure policies meet regulatory and company standards.Stay informed about changes in legal expense insurance products and industry trends.Manage client communications, ensuring timely responses and exceptional service.Develop tailored Legal Expense programs for affinity groups and associationsSuccessful BehaviorsA positive and professional attitude.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Independent, self-motivated, and able to manage deadlines.Team-oriented and collaborative.Technical SkillsComprehensive knowledge of legal expense insurance products, coverages, and underwriting guidelines.Experience with broker management systems (Vertafore SIGxp preferred) and CRM software.Proficiency with insurance company portals.Financial and accounting literacy.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Qualifications/ExperienceRIBO licensed, in good standing (or willingness to obtain within six months, supported by us).Minimum 2 years of insurance experience, with legal expense insurance being a strong asset.CIP, CAIB, or CRM designations are considered an asset.Post-secondary education is an asset.Remuneration & BenefitsCompetitive annual salary based on experience. 80% commission in first year.
