As a tax lawyer, you will work in a stimulating environment on a wide range of complex matters involving taxation, corporate law and estate law.ResponsibilitiesAdvise and assist clients on the legal and tax aspects of their estate planning, business operations, purchase or sale transactions, corporate reorganizations, real estate transactions or intergenerational transfersDraft legal opinions in taxationDraft memoranda describing the recommended steps and their legal and tax impactsDraft the legal documentation required for tax or estate planning transactionsDraft various commercial contractsPrepare estate planning documents such as wills, powers of attorney and trustsStructure and document corporate transactions, particularly for complex estatesContribute to tax research and maintaining internal knowledge related to taxationParticipate in drafting educational or explanatory content on tax and estate topicsWhat We Are Looking ForMember in good standing of the Barreau du QuébecTwo to five years of relevant experience in taxationSpecialized training in taxation such as a master’s degree, DESS or CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course, or equivalent experienceIntellectual curiosity and strong interest in taxationProficiency in French and English, spoken and writtenExcellent legal drafting skillsTeam oriented mindset, professionalism and proactive attitude #J-18808-Ljbffr
