Dietary Aide - Temporary Part Time 6:00am to 2:00pm Join Sienna Senior Living as a Dietary Aide. Responsibilities Follow proper food handling techniques. Check dates, label, and store food properly. Maintain a clean work area and complete scheduled cleaning duties. Keep floors clean in food preparation, dishroom, and storage areas. Support all aspects of optimal food service to meet residents’ needs, following infection control, quality management, legislative requirements, and organizational standards. Assist in preparing meals, serving meals and beverages, following residents’ diets and food preferences, using proper portion sizes. Take orders for the first and second menu choices from residents, noting preferences. Set and clear tables in dining rooms and wash/sanitize tables, chairs, and serveries. Perform other duties as assigned. Must-Haves Current Safe Food Handler’s Certificate. Knowledge of correct procedures for service and handling of food. Ability to operate institutional cooking equipment such as dishwasher, conveyor toaster, and meat-slicer. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Successful Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario applicants). Successful Criminal Records Check (British Columbia applicants).
