POSITION SUMMARY Blue Mountain Plastics Recycling is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician / Inspector to support quality control operations within our rPET recycling facility (recycled PET plastic - polyethylene terephthalate), This role ensures finished rPET flakes meet internal, customer, and regulatory specifications. As a QA Technician/Inspector you can expect: Excellent Hourly Wage Wage Increase after 3 Months Continental Rotation, 12-Hours Shifts Days and Nights Company Paid Life Insurance, Health, and Dental Benefits RRSP Company Match On the Job Training Uniforms Clean and Safe Work Environment Teamwork Employee Referral Program Key Responsibilities Perform flake quality testing including contamination identification and PPM calculation. Conduct flake bake tests, pH differential tests, moisture testing, IV testing, metal detection verification, and flake sizing tests. Calibrate and verify QA equipment including pH meters and Sesotec Flake Purifiers/ VARISORTS. Accurately record QA results in Data Management Systems and QA logs. Identify non-conforming material, initiate retests, and place material on HOLD when required. Communicate quality issues to Production Supervisors and QA leadership. Maintain QA lab cleanliness and follow all safety and PPE requirements. Education / Skills / Experience High school diploma or equivalent Experience in QA, manufacturing, or laboratory environments Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Basic computer and data entry skills Plastics, recycling, or polymer experience preferred Laboratory or chemical testing experience preferred Working Environment / Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended period Ability to lift moderate weights Work in production and laboratory environments Mandatory use of PPE Please let Ice River Sustainable Solutions know if you require accommodation during the hiring and selection process and we will work with you to make appropriate arrangements.
