We custom fit our services to the specific needs of our client's project, providing or securing and managing the most appropriate equipment, products, services, people, prices, and timing on their behalf. MATRIX is looking for experienced Journeyperson and/or Red Seal Carpenters as soon as possible. You are team oriented, motivated person with an attention for details. You will play a key role at one of our remote camps by supporting the team to complete construction of a remote camp. This position reports to the Camp Manager, or Operations Manager. ResponsibilitiesFraming, forming, finishing, and installation as neededPreparation and site clean-up, including rubbish removalProficient with building code regulations as it relates to work-site building construction and repairsAssist in the completion of all necessary documentation as per process / protocol to ensure cost effectiveness and budget allocationProvide quality workmanship consistent with industry standards and stakeholder expectationsUnderstand the basics of reading and interpreting blueprintsParticipate in daily Toolbox meetings.Support monthly worksite inspectionsPerform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job proceduresNotify Manager of unsafe practices and unsafe environmentReport all incidents and accidents immediatelyActively participate as a high performing, team member RequirementsMinimum of three (3) years working in a construction field/camp positionCertified Journeyman Carpenter (Red Seal) or relative trade experienceSolid verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to work a rotational schedule.Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedulePhysically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbsAble to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical laborAbility to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 - 12 hour shift Benefits$450-$500 per day, depending on experience and certificationsAll travel paid, including travel days and per diems when deployed to certain field projects. #J-18808-Ljbffr
