Physiotherapist I – Alberta Children’s Hospital The Alberta Children’s Hospital is a warm and vibrant workplace. The Physiotherapist I, as part of the ACH site wide PT Services, ensures the level of clinical practice on the assigned clinical service area is family/client-centered and meets PT clinical standards of practice. Responsibilities Provide assessment, therapeutic interventions and coordination of care to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence. Support patients 0-18 years referred to physiotherapy across ambulatory programs, clinic areas and/or inpatient units. Collaborate with patients, families and interdisciplinary team across site-wide clinics, programs and community partners. Provide direct treatment, equipment reviews, advocacy, and other interventions as needed. Supervise clinical practice of students and assistants. Participate in program/clinic committees and quality improvement activities, including peer mentoring. Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta. Additional Required Qualifications: 1–5 years of relevant clinical experience. Knowledge and experience in pediatric development and conditions, musculoskeletal and pain conditions, pediatric rehabilitation, tertiary rehabilitation service delivery, community resources, BCLS-HCP certification. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hematology, rheumatology. Knowledge in neurological conditions, rehabilitative service, transition support, pediatric transition support and community resources. AADL authorization required for some services.
