Brunel is currently seeking an Asset Buyer professional to work for one of our biggest clients being a major international LNG company with mega projects in Canada. The role is in Calgary, AB.



The successful candidate will undertake a visible leadership role in driving the client and it's suppliers to the safest project possible and maintain a goal zero requirement in the Asset operate phase

Responsibilit

  • iesDeliver the challenging targets of material and equipment availability before startup of the Ass
  • et.Work with planning teams to understand demand and procure spare parts for the asset operations t
  • eamDevelop strategies to procure spare parts based on best value to the comp
  • anyWork in close collaboration with the Commissioning and Startup (CSU) team to ensure the correct material is available during the
  • CSUParticipate in planning, and procure materials related to turnaround or shut down eve
  • ntsGain an in-depth understanding of company's material demand, as well as local/regional market conditions and price lev
  • ersDevelop strategies, tactics, and contracts in accordance with the Contracting and Procurement Procedures Manual including all governance requiremen
  • ts.Ensure Contracting and Procurement process, procedures, systems, and tools are maintained, and upgrades aligned to requireme
  • ntsDevelop and share best practices, work processes, systems, and tools, based on experience gained in a portfolio of independent Ass

Qualifica

  • tionsMinimum of 5 years Contracting and Procurement experience in Oil and Gas or heavy industrial settings that utilize technical equip
  • ment.Must be experienced and proficient in SAP MM module for purchasing related activi
