Large infrastructure contractor is seeking a Planner / Scheduler to focus on infrastructure projects in Vancouver or Toronto. Salary $140,000- $200,000. Reporting to the Scheduling Lead, the Scheduler will create schedules based on project requirements with input from internal departments, joint venture partners and applicable owners. In addition to the development of project schedules during the preconstruction phase, the role includes maintenance of and the auditing of progress of schedules during project execution. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.Responsibilities of Scheduler:During the entire life cycle of a project, from preconstruction to total completion, assist in the development and maintenance of multiple project schedules. Schedules will reflect the strategy of the Project Delivery Team, include a clearly defined critical path, incorporate the project interfaces and their associated impacts, including external dependencies, and third-party obligationsThe Scheduler will create project baseline schedules based on the design drawings, scope of work, owner requirements and construction team inputs. Where practical, align the WBS for the schedule with the estimate for the projectResource load the baseline scheduleProduce the cash flow for the projectProduce graphical representations of the project schedule (TILOS)Monitor the progress of activities on site thru field inspections and site input from the delivery team throughout entire delivery program (design, procurement, PLAA, construction, testing and commissioning and Close out)In collaboration with the project team, update the project schedule based on actual site progress and propose solutions to challenges that are negatively impacting site progressInteract with Construction team to define scope of work to develop schedules with resources and cost informationCreate work breakdown structures and set the schedule up to utilize WBS codes and Construction work, Develop Critical Path Method (CPM)Perform schedule impact analysis for owner initiated changesProvide schedule impact analysis to support claimsQA/QC review of schedule submissions for conformancePrepare reports related to project progress as requested by the regional officeUpdate, maintain and revise monthly and weekly schedules, compare, and report on monthly basis and identify variances from original planUpdate schedules with actual field progress and forecast remaining durations, project milestones, and completion datesPrepare and issue schedule analysis narratives and reports including recommendations for corrective actions to be used by project teams to manage the workPerform changes to the schedule as a result of project delays and/or accelerationsAssist Operations with short term schedulesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities of SchedulerAt least 5 years of scheduling or planning experience within the commercial and/or civil construction industryAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and a strong understanding of construction means and methods, and associated timelinesExcellent computer skills with proficiency in Primavera 6 and MS Project scheduling softwareTILOS experience is considered a valuable skillHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectivesStrong communication, organization and attention to detailCompensationSalary range $140k+ based on experienceGroup insurance (including a health spending account)Group RRSPIdeal CandidateOnly exceptional candidates who require sponsorship will be considered for this rolePlease clearly highlight relevant work experience, project overviews and project scale ($) in your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
