What are your contributions to the team?Conduct simulations and analyses to determine aircraft design loads for both new development programs and continued airworthiness of in-service aircraftDevelop and maintain both low- and high-fidelity models to support loads analysisContribute to the creation of automated frameworks and tools that enhance efficiency and accuracy in loads analysisBuild capabilities for store separation loads analysis to support missionized aircraft programsDevelop nonlinear actuator modeling tools to meet Transport Canada’s certification requirementsUtilize a wide range of commercial and proprietary tools, including a six-degree-of-freedom aircraft simulatorApply sound engineering judgment to validate and verify analysis resultsCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Flight Characteristics, Structures, Mass Properties, Systems, Fly-By-Wire, Landing Gear, and Flight TestSupport flight test campaigns and perform post-processing of flight dataPrepare and document technical findings in certification reports and engineering presentations How to thrive in this role?You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace specialization preferred)You have relevant aerospace industry experience, particularly in external loads analysisYou have experience in nonlinear modeling and certification processYou have strong programming skills: C++, Fortran, MATLAB, and PythonYou have knowledge in numerical and scientific computingYou have experience with high-performance computing environmentsYou have experience with software development using version control systems (e.g., Git)You have a solid understanding of aircraft flight dynamics, aeroelastic phenomena (flutter, LCO), and unsteady aerodynamicsYou are familiar with finite element analysis tools (e.g., Nastran)You have knowledge of time/frequency domain unsteady aerodynamicsYou have experience with fly-by-wire systems and control law integrationYou have an understanding of airworthiness regulations and certification documentationYou are eligible for Canadian Control Good Clearance Bombardier Aerospace is an equal opportunity employer and encourages women, Aboriginal people, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities to apply.Whether your candidacy is moving on to the next step of the hiring process or not, we will keep you informed by email or by phone.
