Reporting to the Sr Director, Data Platform Delivery and Engineering, you will design, build, and collaborate with Development, Security, and TSP Ops teams to deploy data and software products on‑premise and in the cloud. This role drives our data strategy, advances data maturity, and helps build a modern data and analytics practice that enables data‑driven decisions and innovative solutions.ResponsibilitiesContribute technical expertise and collaborate with peers on solution design and implementationParticipate in the data engineering lifecycle and support project deliveryApply architectural and design principles to improve performance, capacity, and scalability of data systemsCollaborate with clients, stakeholders, and data engineers to determine data requirements and system impactsContribute to cloud viability analysis, detailed work planning and estimation for major projectsPromote best practices and contribute to continuous improvementDesign and implement security standards and configurations (including cluster policies, Key Vault, and audit logging)Create and maintain solution design documents, diagrams, and other materials for on‑premise and cloud deploymentsImplement modern data and analytics practices using tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Salesforce, Python, and SQLDesign, develop, build, and maintain cloud-based applications and services on AzureWhat you areService – You put clients’ needs first, deliver client‑centric solutions, and build strategic partnerships to become a trusted advisorExecution – You focus on delivering results, seek opportunities for improvement, take accountability, and learn from mistakesCollaboration – You work well with others to achieve organizational goals, build trust, and foster inclusionRequirementsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, a technical diploma, or equivalent software development experienceAdvanced knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies5+ years in data engineering or software development, with potential for technical leadership or mentorshipExperience designing and implementing highly available, scalable, resilient solutions for cloud‑native and non‑cloud environmentsHands‑on experience with Azure Platform services (e.g., Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Monitor)Understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, container deployments (Azure Container Instances, Kubernetes)Understanding of DevSecOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, Docker CI/CD, IaC)Experience or certification with AWS/Azure is an assetExperience in wealth management and/or credit unions is an assetFluent English; bilingual in French is an assetBenefitsCompetitive compensation and comprehensive health, dental, and insurance benefitsGenerous vacation, fitness benefit, and parental leave top‑up optionsMatching retirement contributionsLearning and education support, plus ongoing professional developmentRegular social events to foster teamworkEqual Employment OpportunityAviso welcomes applications from all qualified individuals.
