FCC Canada, part of the Construction Division of FCC Group, has been present in Canada since 1997, with experience in subway infrastructure, roads, railways, maritime construction, tunnels, bridges, and subway projects. FCC Canada, in a 50/50 joint venture with Webuild Civil Works Inc., will deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line, including design, construction, supply, and operation of three kilometres of twin tunnels, two underground stations (Pape and Cosburn), two tunnel portals, three emergency exit buildings, and a rail switch/crossover near Sammon Avenue. The project uses a Progressive Design-Build (PDB) model. Reports to: IDD Manager.The BIM Manager is responsible for ensuring BIM, GIS, and digital construction across project disciplines (Design, estimating, planning, construction), and for providing leadership, support, and coordination across all technical work streams from Design through Construction for the PDB North Civil - Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations project, including design, supply, integration, commissioning, and delivery of 3 KM of twin tunnels and cavern, two underground stations, as well as other challenging engineering works.ResponsibilitiesOverall accountability for enabling BIM, GIS, and digital construction across project disciplines (Design, estimating, planning, construction, and handover).Provide leadership, support, and coordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from design through to construction within a collaborative project environment.Manage technical work streams that may include, but are not limited to, leading engineering disciplines, design management, digital engineering, sustainability, engineering surveying, asset management, and industrialization.Ensure delivery of BIM and GIS in accordance with the project’s IDD BIM related processes and procedures (e.g., BIM Execution Plan, Data Management Protocol), and coordinate with the IDD FCC Corporate Office for future developments.Ensure the right resourcing profile for the IDD team on the project based on BIM goals set in the bid phase.Act as the link between the Client’s BIM/Digital representatives, the consultant BIM team, the Project (and any JV partner) and subcontractors BIM teams.Support the project Technical Director to enable BIM and GIS outcomes and ensure information is delivered to the program and coordinated between engineering disciplines, organizations, and packages.Ensure BIM requirements support digital integration across all project functions.Validate Information Models in accordance with the EIR and Metrolinx Standards, using validation reports where required.Manage complex data structures and provide insights and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.Implement a collaborative information management process following ISO 19650-2 and related standards, including the Institute for BIM in Canada Toolkit and ISO 19650-2 National Annex.Coordinate, audit, and incorporate subcontractor models, ensuring subcontractor compliance with requirements.Generate and deliver the asset information model for integration into the client’s maintenance management platform.Promote an inclusive culture that supports equity, welcomes diverse perspectives, and fosters career progression.Education and QualificationsEngineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and civil construction experience.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of the organization.Experience with model federation platforms such as Assemble Systems, Navisworks, and Bentley Navigator.Working knowledge of EHS regulations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service orientation and problem ownership.Ability to multitask and work with minimal direct supervision.Commitment to inclusion and diversity.Job Requirements5–10 years of experience leading BIM implementation in large railway/infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650, Institute of BIM in Canada, Metrolinx).Experience with Common Data Environments (e.g., ACC, ProjectWise, Aconex).Knowledge of BIM software to support project controls (e.g., Synchro 4D, Fuzor, Assemble).Understanding of corporate and industry practices and their impact on project activities.Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle; construction project environment experience preferred.Experience with large complex infrastructure projects desirable; understanding design and construction phases and alignment with the Digital Plan of Works.On-site construction experience desirable.Salary range: $141,000 to $156,000 per annum.Work EnvironmentFCC Canada is committed to a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes gender equity and recruitment of underrepresented groups.
