This role focuses on implementing strategic initiatives and managing the win cycle (Capture Management, Expression of Interest, Statements of Qualifications, RFQs, and RFPs) for major opportunities.The OpportunityThe Strategic Pursuit Manager is an internal client-facing role responsible for developing major project pursuit programs and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering joint-venture partners, subconsultants, and design-builders to develop winning proposals. This role reports to the Strategic Pursuits Director, SP+APD, and has high visibility within the organization.The Strategic Pursuit Manager will assist in developing broader operational excellence activities such as processes, platforms, and systems. You will also build relationships with internal stakeholders including corporate services, marketing, commercial, and operations to gather requirements, establish workflows, and maintain communication.As a member of the Transportation & Infrastructure business line, you will work on some of WSP’s largest and most complex projects across sectors such as bridges, highways & roads, rail & transit, water & wastewater, aviation, and ports & marine. You will manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and provide high-quality support.Why choose WSP?We value an inclusive culture of belonging.Flexible Work Policy to support work–life balance.A Canadian success story with a strong national presence.Impactful work across environments, infrastructure, and communities.Strong career opportunities and a collaborative culture.Great people doing meaningful work—come be part of our journey.We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a great corporate culture, comprehensive benefits (including virtual healthcare and wellness programs), savings programs, and a clear vision for the future.What you can expect to doCoordinate implementation of strategic initiatives with the Strategic Pursuits Director, SP+APD.Manage the win cycle of Major Projects, including capturing strategy, scheduling, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders.Review and track requirements to ensure bid compliance.Develop content (writing, proofreading, formatting) and manage input from technical subject matter experts.Develop work plans, delivery schedules, meetings/workshops, agendas, and correspondence; capture lessons learned.Maintain SP+APD content libraries for historic project information, past submittals, statistics, and lessons learned.Participate on internal and client bid management committees and color reviews to relay information, deliver updates, and manage expectations.Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization including senior management, shared services, and multi-disciplinary teams.Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups supporting strategic initiatives.Research, capture, and analyze industry intelligence to improve processes, procedures, and best practices.Qualifications and requirementsFive+ years in proposal development or a similar environment; experience in Engineering Consulting or Professional Services is preferred.Understanding of Alternative Delivery models (Design-Build, P3, Progressive Design-Build, Alliance, IPD) is desirable.Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in project management, construction management, engineering, finance, or related field; an asset.Strong project management, prioritization, scheduling, and multi-project coordination skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); editing and proofreading abilities.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint; cloud-based tools); Adobe Suite is an asset.APMP, PMP, or similar designation is an asset; knowledge of SharePoint document management is an asset.About UsWSP is a leading professional services firm with a purpose to future-proof cities and environments.
