We are collaborators who value diversity, equity and inclusion, service, and work-life harmony.A Bid Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire bid process within a company, from identifying potential opportunities to crafting and submitting competitive proposals. The role ensures bids are compliant, compelling, and tailored to client needs to secure new business contracts. The Bid Manager manages a bid team, analyzes tender documents, coordinates with departments, and presents bids to clients to win contracts.ResponsibilitiesBid planning and strategy: Analyze RFPs, identify key client requirements, and develop a comprehensive bid strategy.Team leadership: Lead and coordinate a cross-functional bid team, including technical experts, writers, and sales personnel, assigning tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.Bid writing and content creation: Oversee the development of compelling bid proposals, including technical details, case studies, and executive summaries, ensuring clarity and persuasiveness; create and curate content and conduct data analysis as needed.Cost analysis and pricing: Understand and coordinate accurate cost breakdowns and pricing strategies for bids, considering profitability and market competitiveness.Client communication: Interact with potential clients to understand needs, address concerns, and present bids effectively.Compliance management: Ensure bids adhere to legal and regulatory requirements of the tender process.Bid evaluation and review: Analyze submitted bids to identify areas for improvement and optimize future proposals.Post-bid activities: Follow up with clients after submission, address questions, and manage transition to contract execution if successful; participate in post-RFP feedback sessions to drive continuous improvement.Content management: Contribute to a centralized content repository and ensure content is added/updated in the system.Ad-hoc projects: Support other responsibilities as needed, such as preparation of business development or marketing materials.QualificationsBachelor’s degree (combination of education and work experience may be substituted).5+ years of experience in proposal/pursuit management.Experience writing client-facing documents.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.Excellent communication, articulation, and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction.Ability to liaise with all levels of management and across offshore and regional teams.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials.Commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers, broad solutions, and the outsourcing market.Job DutiesAnalyze RFPs and develop bid strategy; lead cross-functional bid team; manage deadlines.Oversee content development, including technical details, case studies, and executive summaries.Coordinate cost breakdowns and pricing strategies for bids.Interact with potential clients to understand needs and present bids.Ensure compliance with tender requirements and regulatory standards.Review bids to identify improvements and drive future proposal quality.Engage in post-submission activities and transition to contract execution when successful.Contribute to a centralized content repository and maintain up-to-date materials.Support additional business development or marketing materials as needed.Salary range and compensation details reflect state requirements and may vary by experience, responsibilities, and business needs.
