Job Title:Senior Structural Mining EngineerEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural engineering.Job Summary:Our client is currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Vaughan, OntarioResponsibilities:Assist the Director of Engineering, structural Engineer and EITs with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope cost and schedulePrepare engineering calculationsPrepare technical specifications based on input received from other disciplinesPrepare and contribute to technical memos and reports, within areas of expertiseProvide input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimatesReview and evaluate technical work prepared by junior engineers, intermediate engineers, designers, technicians and technologistsEnsure all assigned projects are carried out and delivered on budget and scheduleParticipate and assist in proposal preparationsStamp documents and drawings as required and if appropriately registeredWork to ensure the implementation of safety and integrity principles in structural documentationQualifications:Professional Engineer designation8+ years of structural engineering experienceOrganized, self-motivated, pro-active, detail-oriented, and have good communication skillsSound understanding of Design Engineering codes and technical standardsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) productsAutoCAD, MATHCAD,MicroStation experience requiredExtensive knowledge in engineering standards, codes and guidelinesKnowledge of mining-related processes a definite assetExperience with Staad Pro or similar structural analysis softwareAbility to function with minimal supervisionExperience in the use of procedures and workflows in the execution of projectsAbility to delegate tasks and effectively supervise othersMust be a team player and can work collaboratively with othersExcellent problem-solving skills and critical-thinkingJob 1879 #J-18808-Ljbffr
