OverviewSupervisor, Environmental Services – Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) – Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, BC. Position focuses on leading the Environmental Services/Housekeeping team to maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients, residents, families, visitors, and staff. The role includes supervisory, supply chain, cleaning duties, and collaboration with infection control and patient care teams.ResponsibilitiesSupervise 16 Housekeeping Aides and Lead Hands, organizing staff, resources, and daily activities to meet established housekeeping standards.Order, monitor, and receive Environmental Services supplies, maintain reports, monitor expenditures, and prepare budget estimates; act as liaison with other departments.Perform cleaning duties: damp dusting, dry & wet mopping, floor maintenance & refinishing, disinfecting ceilings, walls, vents, washrooms, beds, furniture, and equipment; collect and remove biomedical waste; clean spills; make beds; maintain overall facility cleanliness according to policies.QualificationsGrade 10 education plus three (3) years of recent related experience, including six (6) months supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Valid BC driver’s licence (local area travel may be required).Strong supervisory, communication, organizational, and physical ability to carry out duties.Criminal records review check and health screening required.BenefitsComprehensive health benefits (MSP, extended health, dental) and municipal pension plan.Employer‑paid training and leadership development opportunities.Wellness supports, counselling, and innovative wellness services.Award‑winning recognition programs and access to exclusive discount offers.How to ApplySubmit your application online through the Vancouver Coastal Health Internal Career Portal.
