The ASM works collaboratively with the Store Manager (SM) and company management, managing day-to-day retail operations at the store location. Key Responsibilities Assist store management in supervising and facilitating daily operations. Oversee responsibilities of the Store Manager in their absence. Assist in personnel management (interviews, promotions, performance reviews, disciplinary actions) when requested. Provide direction, guidance and instruction to all store associates as needed. Ensure store conditions consistently meet established standards. Assist in creating weekly staffing schedules; ensure staffing levels meet business needs. Liaise with various departments to convey information and communicate expectations. Greet and assist customers, modeling exemplary conduct to other staff. Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are consistently adhered to. Handle customer complaints, escalating as necessary. Ensure health, safety and security regulations are adhered to. Oversee and assist in inventory management. Essential Qualifications Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training. Demonstrated service orientation. Valid CannaSell certification. Clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date. Minimum 3-5 years of retail experience. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a retail environment. Excellent time management and prioritizing skills. Ability to train and motivate staff.Skills to monitor and assess staff performance. Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday. Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends and various locations. Basic office administration skills. High proficiency with Microsoft Office. Highly effective teamwork skills. Strong verbal and written communication with all levels of organization. Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills. Strong diplomacy. Excellent teamwork and team building skills. Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation. Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude.
