Overview ML6 has partnered with a private equity–backed consumer packaged goods (CPG) organization in their search for a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This role is well suited to a hands-on FP&A professional who owns the full planning and reporting cycle and brings strong systems thinking to how financial and operational data is structured, analyzed, and communicated. Working closely with supply chain, commercial, and senior leadership teams, you will play a key role in driving financial visibility and supporting decisions that impact margin, cash flow, and growth. This position requires advanced Excel skills, comfort working across ERP and reporting systems, and the ability to clearly translate complex data into actionable insights in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment. Responsibilities Own the full FP&A cycle, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and monthly performance reporting. Lead monthly close-related analysis, delivering clear variance analysis, EBITDA bridges, and performance commentary. Build, maintain, and enhance complex Excel-based financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and business decision-making. Partner with supply chain, operations, and commercial teams to analyze key CPG cost and margin drivers, including COGS, freight, warehousing, inventory, trade spend, and gross margin. Act as a finance partner across accounting, operations, and commercial teams to ensure consistency and transparency in reporting. Apply a systems-oriented mindset to improve data flows, reporting structures, and forecasting accuracy across ERP, Excel, and BI tools. Prepare concise, well-structured financial materials for leadership reviews, board presentations, and private equity stakeholders. Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support pricing decisions, promotional effectiveness, cost optimization, and growth initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required; CPA, CFA, or MBA considered an asset. 6–10 years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience, preferably within CPG or consumer-focused environments. Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end FP&A processes with minimal oversight. Advanced Excel skills required, including complex modeling, scenario analysis, and large data set management. Strong understanding of ERP environments and financial systems; experience improving FP&A processes, reporting structures, or forecasting models is an advantage. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for senior and non-finance stakeholders.
