This role engages directly with clients, consultants, and authorities, supporting the full lifecycle of a project and contributing to the technical leadership of the studio.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign + DocumentationLead the development of detailed construction and permit documents.Translate design concepts into comprehensive design development and contract documentation.Conduct advanced technical research and lead detailing development across project phases.Review and ensure compliance with building codes, bylaws, and QA/QC standards.Project Support + CoordinationManage project execution from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, scope definition, resourcing, and profitability.Establish and adhere to office expectations for financial performance, staffing efficiency, and project milestones.Lead regular internal project meetings and communicate status updates to Operations and the Partner-in-Charge, at a minimum monthly.Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring alignment with office Project Delivery processes, filing systems, and documentation standards.Provide project status updates to the Partner in Charge or Project Manager.Coordinate with subconsultants and lead multidisciplinary coordination efforts.Liaise with clients, municipal officials, and regulatory agencies.Attend site meetings and perform shop drawing reviews and contract administration duties.Ensure all work aligns with the firm’s Project Delivery standards, including proper use of filing systems, adherence to architectural procedures, and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.Team + CultureMentor junior and intermediate staff and contribute to a collaborative studio environment.Promote high standards of professionalism, accountability, and quality.Lead by example in aligning with the firm’s project delivery practices, standards, and values.Actively contributes to the technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.Able to work in a collaborative, in-office environment (100% in-office presence required to support direct team engagement and effective cross-functional coordination).QualificationsArchitectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized institution.5–10 years of experience in an architectural office.Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revizto, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Navisworks is an asset.Strong knowledge of construction systems, detailing, and code compliance.Effective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project delivery goals.Why Join Us?At Zeidler, you’ll be part of a nationally respected architectural practice with deep Canadian roots and a legacy of award-winning work across sectors—from civic landmarks and community spaces to advanced research and workplace environments.We foster a collaborative, inclusive studio culture that values creativity, accountability, and design integrity.
