If you thrive on ambiguity and delivering high-quality software at scale, we want you to chart your own path at Amazon.About the role: Software Dev Engineer IIIn this role, you will collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market. You’ll design and build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and low cost. You will also create solutions for running predictions on distributed systems at incredible scale and speed, work in an agile environment to deliver software, and lead fundamental changes in the industry by coding the right solutions from broadly defined problems.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, and deliver innovative products and services.Design and build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective.Develop solutions for running predictions on distributed systems at large scale and speed.Work in an agile environment to deliver software and drive fundamental changes in the industry by solving broadly defined problems.Requirements / Skills3+ years of professional software development experience2+ years of system design or architecture experienceProficient in at least one programming languageExperience across the full software development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalentBenefits and SalaryThe base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year, based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
