Dentistry, Tenure Track Comprehensive Care, College of DentistryThe College of Dentistry invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the academic rank of Assistant Professor in Comprehensive Care. Responsibilities include delivering didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical teaching, supervising student research projects; initiating, leading, and participating in innovative research programs; competing successfully for internal and external funding; and undertaking relevant administrative activities.Qualifications DDS or DMD (or equivalent) required. Research expertise in oral microbiology and oral biology is preferred. Postdoctoral training is an asset. Desirable attributes include effective classroom teaching skills, strong mentoring abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.Salary and BenefitsSalary information for this position for the 2025-2026 academic year is as follows: Assistant Professor: $110,489 to $131,909. Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is usually common and possible in the College of Dentistry.This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan; pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long-term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program.Start-up and Research SupportThis tenure-track position is supported by start-up funds designed to enable early success in research and scholarship. Start-up support may include resources for establishing research infrastructure, initiating pilot studies, and advancing scholarly activities aligned with the College’s strategic research priorities.
