You identify gaps in the business strategy and pitch projects that close them. You are a Radical Problem Solver: When a project hits a wall, you don’t elevate—it innovates. You view constraints as creative challenges, not roadblocks. You are an "Out of the Box" Thinker: You understand that applying AI to heavy industry isn’t just about algorithms; it’s about reimagining workflows. You are comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and legacy processes. You are Technically Advanced: You don't just manage the timeline; you understand the architecture. You can distinguish between a viable AI model and hype.Key Responsibilities1. Elite Communication & Stakeholder ManagementCommunication is Key: You possess the rare ability to simplify the complex. You must articulate the value of AI models to Mining Site Superintendents, verify technical constraints with Data Scientists, and present ROI strategies to the Global Director—all in the same day.Narrative Building: You don't just report status; you tell a compelling story about data transformation. You can convince skeptics to adopt new tools by clearly demonstrating how they make lives easier and operations safer.Global Alignment: As a direct report to the Global Director, you will facilitate communication across international teams, ensuring that regional engineering silos are broken down to favor a unified data strategy.2. Strategic Ownership & ExecutionOwn the Outcome: Take full accountability for high‑stakes Data & AI projects from vague concepts to fully operationalized solutions.Identify the "Unseen" Value: Proactively audit engineering workflows to find high‑impact opportunities for automation, predictive analytics, and machine learning that others have missed.Agile in a Waterfall World: Masterfully blend Agile speed with the rigorous safety and compliance standards required in the Energy and Mining sectors.3. Technical & Cultural TranslationBridge the Gap: Act as the primary translator. You must be able to debate asset integrity with Civil/Mechanical Engineers and discuss data pipelines and hyperparameter tuning with ML Engineers.Challenge the Tech Stack: Don't just accept technical proposals. Use your advanced Data/AI knowledge to question the feasibility and practical application of models in the field.Required QualificationsExperience8-10 years of total professional experience.Must Have: Deep, hands‑on experience in delivering complex Data and AI solutions.Work experience related to Energy; Natural Resources is a benefit.Project management related work experience is beneficial.Technical KnowledgeAdvanced understanding of Data Science and AI is a must.
