Independent Jewellers, with over 47 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated Gemologist to join our team Our customers trust us to help them select the perfect engagement ring, find the ideal anniversary gift, or repair timeless heirlooms to pass down to future generations. Responsibilities Examine, price, and grade customer-owned jewellery and loose stones for a large volume of appraisals in a fast-paced environment. Monitor changes in the precious stones and metals market. Support our service team at the service counter as needed. Qualifications Graduate Gemologist degree from GIA or an equivalent lab, with the ability to grade diamonds and coloured gemstones. Strong verbal and communication skills. Previous experience in the jewellery industry (minimum 1 year). Reliable commute to Edmonton. Knowledge of CAD design (Rhino) is a bonus but not required.
