Position Details Title: Employed Student Nurse Salary: $31.31/hour (pay range explained below) Contract: Term - May - September 2026 Hours: Casual, Onsite Location: Forth St. Jonh, BC Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada) About The Role As Employed Student Nurse, you will – work in collaboration with other staff members and collaborating agencies to advocate that all CHN programming is grounded in principles of antiracism, cultural safety and trauma informed practice. The ESN/CH, under the supervision of the Community Health Nurse (CHN), FNHA, the community and the health team, will contribute to the overall health of the community using a Two Eyed Seeing and community development approach. You provide direct nursing care to clients experiencing varying degrees of health challenges and acuity, provided they are competent and within the level of training and education they have acquired in their courses and practicums. Embodying a culturally humble approach, you engage respectfully with community members as equal partners in health service provision. You will operate in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards, limits, conditions, and codes of ethics. About You To be successful in this role you will have/be – Successful completion of 2nd Year RPN or BScN program or equivalent* and continued enrollment in a recognized nursing education program. Current registration with BCCNM as an Employed Student Registrant. Current CPR-C certification (includes infant resuscitation). Immunization certification, or willingness to complete within three months of hire. Immunizations are a restricted activity and the nurse providing them must possess the competencies established by the BCCDC and follow decision support tools established by BCCDC. Current valid BC driver’s license. Successful completion of community health practice education experience. Please refer to Job Specification section of the Job Description for more details.
