About Our Client

Our client is a renowned international business with teams and global customer base spanning Americas, EMEA, Korea, China, India, APAC countries.

Job Description
  1. Project Engineering:
    Responsible for Global Project Delivery into all regions and customer segments. Own end-to-end technical customer engagements from pre-RFQ phase through production ramp up phase and ongoing technical support. Continuously evaluate engineering processes and metrics to track and measure engineering success. Ensure all engineering disciplines are designing per processes and customer processes. Establish and track milestones across all active engineering projects and customer programs and manage technical resources to meet those objectives using established PLM process. Manage customer requirement, change requests, escalation, and product roadmap expectations and technical interfaces.
  2. Product Roadmap and Platform Development:
    Define the technical strategy and roadmap for all products including (not excluding): microphone, speaker, headphone, branding, software, and finished good products. Explore emerging technologies and competitive market intelligence research to drive product roadmap for the embedded audio technologies. Develop the platform strategy for the products and lead the platform product development teams and the proper allocation amongst project and product engineering for customer programs. Convert product strategy into engineering deliverables. Drive engineering design quality and execution.
  3. Innovation:
    Broadly industrialize game-changing technology from the BU innovation pipeline - delivering the next generation of products to market. Own Technical and Innovation Roadmaps strategy underpinned by market and consumer research.
  4. Solutions Engineering:
    Create various solutions development and strategies (short/mid/long-term) to penetrate existing & new markets and customers with various product and project ranges (Early Pursuits) including providing field application, demo, and requirement engineering support. Provide vision and identify new business strategies and innovation areas to drive value for customers. Experience in driving strategy and business model development including contract development and management with partners. Ensure implementation of formal processes to support the product development process.
  5. Leadership:
    Face of engineering and product management to other functions/BU's, customers, and suppliers. Handle escalations within engineering and lead discussions with peers for escalations in other functions. Represent the technical voice of Embedded Audio.
  6. Quotations / Budgets:
    Make all decisions regarding product content, budget and timing to ensure the product is on time, on-schedule, on-quality and meets all customer requirements and specifications while meeting BU profitability goals.
  7. Management:
    Lead project and product development engineering for the Embedded Audio BU. This includes driving the engineering, and product management, requirement and solution team(s) to complete HR activities including hiring, training, evaluations, succession planning, creating development plans, and executing performance improvement plans.
  8. Communication Skills:
    Communicate effectively, motivate, coach, and develop techno commercial excellence; is skilled at getting individuals, teams, and an entire organization to perform at a higher level and embrace change.
  9. Team Player:
    Negotiates skillfully to achieve a fair outcome or promote a common cause; communicates a compelling vision and is committed to what needs to be done; inspires others; is considerate and can resolve conflict; understands what motivates different people.
The Successful Applicant

Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

15+ years' experience in (B2B) project delivery engineering electronic products

15+ years' experience in (B2B) product development engineering electronic products

10+ years' experience working with a global matrixed team.

10+ years management of R&D organizations

10+ years product management leadership experience

10+ years global customer requirement, change requests, escalation, and application experiences.

Proven consistent success in delivering over many product cycles, developing innovative/disruptive solutions.

Proven consistent success in building & maintaining high performance teams.

Passion for Audio quality and performance is required.

Ability to work with a global matrixed organization and communicate at all levels.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
