Mental Health Counsellor – Child & Youth Carrier Sekani Family Services is looking for a full‑time Mental Health Counsellor to work in Burns Lake, BC. The role will involve providing a range of mental health services to community members, including individuals, families and groups within a First Nations cultural and socioeconomic setting. Location & Employment Type Burns Lake, British ColumbiaFull‑time, 35 hours per week Salary Base pay range: CA$38.59 – CA$49.97 per hour Responsibilities Identify, assess and monitor clients’ needs in conjunction with parents/caregivers and other service providers. Interview clients and relevant professionals to gather case history and identify areas of concern. Complete clinical assessments using a bio/psycho/social/spiritual approach and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the client. Develop and implement counseling plans and programs necessary to meet client goals and objectives. Provide individual and group counseling interventions using techniques that meet client or family needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology. Registered with BCCSW, ICBOC, ACCT or CPCA. Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community‑based mental health services.
