Clinic: Lifemark Mira, Edmonton ABDepartment: Vocational ServicesStatus: Full‑Time Permanent Responsibilities Provide comprehensive, evidence‑based Occupational Therapy services to clients. Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow‑up of clients. Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments. Identify appropriate equipment needs and initiate recommendations. Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties. Provide education on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aides, as well as ongoing education to clients and family to improve function, independence and safety. Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls and injury prevention. Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client’s chart. Excel in a collaborative, inter‑disciplinary team environment. Exhibit sound professional judgment. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province. 1‑3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred; newly licensed graduates are accepted. Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle may be required. In some cases, Valid Vulnerable Sector screening check. In some cases, Proof of Tuberculin (2‑Step Mantoux Test) clearance (within 6 months). Other Requirements Clinical experience in brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics and/or return to work is an asset. Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development. Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem‑solving, time management, computer and documentation skills. Proficiency in computer skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Bilingualism – French and English are assets.
