Job Title French Teacher/Tutor Wanted Job Overview Eager to help students turn “Je ne sais pas” into “Oh la la”? Motivated to support children’s French education outside of the classroom? Join Oxford Learning Niagara Falls as a part‑time French teacher/tutor/coach. Gain valuable teaching experience and teach students how to learn French in a small group setting. Class sizes are a maximum of three students. All curriculum is provided; no lesson planning is required. Position Requirements After‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm), some Saturdays (9:00 am – 12:00 pm). Commitment until the end of the school year preferred; continuing through the summer is a plus. Strong spoken and written French and English; ability to teach up to Grade 9. In‑person teaching; must be able to commute to the Niagara Falls location. No remote option. Vulnerable sector screening mandatory. Education Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field. Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered. Teaching certification is an asset. Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 French core curriculum. Experience Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level. Strong English written and oral communication skills. Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding. Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time. Responsibilities Teaching up to three students at a time at different levels. Teaching in‑person. Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies. Filling in post‑lesson notes.
