MedStaff is currently seeking facility registered nurses (RNs) and registered practical nurses (RPNs) to join our dynamic team We are currently hiring nurses to work in a downtown Mental Health Facility. The mental health nurse (RN/RPN) provides nursing care within the scope of his/her education and experience to patients within the facility setting. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients according to the written plan of care Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plan(s) and adjust accordingly in consultation with the patient/family/caregiver and other health care professionals Report/communicate observations to the appropriate individual(s) as necessary Act as a patient advocate by protecting and promoting patient rights Treat patients with compassion and respect, recognizing and valuing diversity Maintain confidentiality of patient and/or hospital information Follow S.R.T. MedStaff’s and the assigned facility’s written policies and procedures Work as a team player with other health care professionals and service providers Qualifications Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing Minimum 1-year full time work experience as an RN/RPN within the past 2 years Current CPR (BCLS) Certificate; ACLS/NRP for Specialty Nurses Meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act VSS within the past 2 years of hire confirming absence of a criminal history/record Schedule Must be available to work at least 6, 12-hour shifts over a 2 week period Flexible to work all shifts (days, evenings, and nights) including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays We thank you for applying to S.R.T.
