You will prepare patients for testing, explain procedures, gather relevant health histories, and ensure accurate, timely documentation for physicians. Description As a Cardiology Technologist I, you will: Prepare patients for non-invasive cardiac testing to investigate cardiac abnormalities and level of function, including Holter Monitoring, Exercise Tolerance Testing and Ambulatory Monitoring. Explain procedures and educate patients on equipment function, collect client history for procedures and document information for physicians. Analyze and summarize test results, generate reports for physician interpretation. Provide expertise in the set-up, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and implement resuscitation measures when necessary. Precept, orient new staff and students and provide input into the evaluation of cardiology trainees and/or students. Serve as a clinical resource by providing information regarding cardiology technology to staff and patients. Active or eligible registration with the Alberta Society of Registered Cardiology Technologists (ASRCT). Active or eligible registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Cardiology Technology (CSCT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Ability to walk long distances each shift.
