Reference #: 8057Location: Ottawa – remoteType: Sub-contract Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Application / Software Architect, for one of our key government clients to develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies to meet business and application requirements. Required Qualifications A valid security clearance at the level of Reliability; A university degree in a *related business or technology discipline, OR a two-year college diploma in a *related business or technology discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a *related business or technology discipline, OR a university degree in any field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a *related business or technology discipline, OR a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a *related business or technology discipline. *Related is defined as discipline in Information Management, Information Technology or Business Management; A minimum of ten (10) years‘ experience within the last 15 years in designing and delivering software applications; A minimum of ten (10) years‘ experience within the last 15 years in designing and delivering application architectures; A minimum of ten (10) years‘ experience within the last 15 years in analyzing functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows; Developed and deployed web applications using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL in a cloud or server environment; Created automation scripts to support digital publishing workflows; Created and implemented Intranet web CMS modules; Developed and implemented automation solutions to support publishing and content conversion; Facilitated knowledge transfer to designated internal staff through walkthroughs, demos, and Q&A sessions; and Complete the following Deliverables: Deliver, update and maintain fully functional GCDocx2HTML application with enhancements aligned to Canada Gazette publishing standards; Deliver and update automation scripts on web servers for the monitoring project of web assets (i.e. server differences, dead links etc.); Deliver and implement mySource Drupal CMS custom modules; Design and implement automation solutions to streamline the development, deployment, and maintenance of static web publishing, C-58 binders and eForms catalogue; and Completed knowledge transfer sessions and accompanying reference materials to ensure continuity of support and development. Additional Qualifications Over ten (10) years’ experience within a large organization* in performing Options Analysis**, and being responsible for recommending an IT solution. * Options Analysis is defined as analyzing business requirements, recommending a conceptual architecture, breaking architecture into IT capabilities and components, researching products and IT components that fit the capability and recommending an IT Solution. ** Large: an organization with more than 1,000 employees; and Experience within the past ten (10) years designing enterprise class systems* built with 3 tier architecture or more. * Enterprise class system is defined as a system which involves multiple client-server applications (excluding desktop automation applications) used by at least half of business lines or sectors within the enterprise or organization.
