Jr. Accounting Clerk

Synnapex Inc., a leading provider of technology professional services and hardware solutions, is seeking a results-driven, ambitious, and personable Junior Accounting Clerk to join their growing team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports, including financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform data entry, reconciliation, and verification of financial transactions.
  • Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Utilize accounting software and Excel to manage and analyze financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) or pursuit of CMA/CPA is a plus
  • Experience with full cycle accounting specifically in accounts receivable and payables
  • Experience with financial reporting and management accounting preferred
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred

LOCATION

This position is based in-person at our office in Richmond Hill, ON.
