Effective September 1st, 2025.The School Psychologist position includes opportunities to work both individually and in collaboration with School Based Teams and/or district personnel. The School Psychologist plays a supportive role in the identification, assessment, planning, reporting and evaluation process. Services are district-based and are designed to support students, school personnel and parents in enhancing academic, adaptive and social skills for students.SalaryThe salary of this assignment is based on our current salary grid and upon verification of your BC TQS as well as verification of years of service from previous employers. The current salary range is $75, 112.00 to $109, 520.00 per annum, paid over 10 months.Special Qualifications RequiredA Master’s degree in school/educational psychology or a related field with a focus on school psychologyCertified/eligible for certification with BC Association of School Psychologists and/or Registration with the College of PsychologistsTeaching certification with the BC Teacher Regulation BranchProven experience in the education system with current knowledge of instruction and assessment practicesQualified to administer and interpret up to and including Level C educational, psychological, and behavioural testsLocal Area Information and Application DetailsIn School District 27 it is acknowledged that we humbly work, learn, and live on the traditional, ancestral, unceded, and shared lands of the Secwepemc, Tsilhqot’tin, and Dakelh people. Participants can expect to meet with the group in person (and over dinner), a minimum of 3 times. This structured series is facilitated by our Superintendent of Schools.We also believe in providing Professional Development beyond the provisions of our collective agreement. The District has engaged in long term contracts with several (up to 6) educational leaders.
