About the role: Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have insights, market predictions and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. A VP analyst serves as a leader within Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group, establishing oneself as a credible voice within their designated market at local, regional and global levels. Utilizing exceptional research and analytical skills, a Senior Director plays a significant role in producing pragmatic and provocative insights which Gartner clients consume and apply to propel their business toward key objectives. They are a trusted source of advice for clients, reinforcing Gartner’s value every day by engaging them via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, sales support visits and Gartner conferences to discuss complex client challenges and offer appropriate recommendations. What You’ll Do: As VP Analyst for Technology Product Management (TPM) Cybersecurity, you will primarily lead and advise Gartner clients by researching cybersecurity across a range of product and services capabilities, while providing thoughtful insight on building continuity across products, services and vendors. Beyond just research you will apply business acumen to drive insights that impact P&L, go-to-market activities and the applicability of C-level insights needed to drive product and service strategies. You will be charged with creating and delivering TPM strategic and tactical advice and research content, guiding CPOs, Product Leaders, and Product Managers on critical current and future cybersecurity technologies through written insight reports, presentations, teleconferences, inquiries, and briefings. During each insights project, you will work closely with adjacent covering analysts and service delivery associates across Gartner to deliver a world-class experience for our technology provider membership subscribers. As a thought leader develop new insights and ideas and offer compelling, actionable approaches to client's needs. Conduct innovative, fact-based “must-have insights” and analysis around clients’ key initiatives. Participate and conduct “case-based insights” (an ETT methodology) by speaking with senior executives, academics, industry experts, etc. and conducting wide-ranging secondary literature searches. Create highly synthesized content that can be leveraged and/or contextualized across the functions and roles that Gartner serves. Provide clients, vendors and prospects with actionable advice on complex questions, challenges or circumstances. Proactively support Advisory, Research Engagement Services (RES), Sales and Service and other internal stakeholders across relevant research key initiatives to help clients and prospects. As an industry leader, represent Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy. Create and deliver high value presentations on and off stage for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings targeting senior level executives. Research, analyze and predict expected (and foresee unexpected) market trends and shifts to provide clients and vendors with actionable insights. Use creative and innovative analytical or diagnostic approaches; leverage less obvious synergies and encourage colleagues to find and consider alternate interpretations of information. Lead and influence internal projects, special roles and processes driving decisions on highly complex issues to create the best insights and advice, and optimize Gartner's business. What you will need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Graduate degree preferred. 15+ years of relevant field experience. Prior experience as a Service Delivery Leader/Manager, Consulting Practice Leader/Manager, or in an Executive Product Leadership capacity with AI related solutions. Prior experience working for a large cybersecurity solutions/services company or large organizations implementing, integrating and/or leveraging AI capabilities. P&L responsibilities are preferred. Strong communicator who is able to explain complex concepts concisely and simply. Subject matter expert comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements. Strong business and financial acumen. Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within subject area as well as the interplay in that market.
