You’ll play a key role in delivering financial advisory support—building financial models, consulting on strategy, and contributing to private-market deal reviews from initial analysis through to completion. This position is ideal for a recent or near-CPA who is eager to expand into financial advisory and private equity, while making a difference in Indigenous communities.You’ll work with a group of team members with private equity, valuation, and public practice experience who have come together to work primarily with Indigenous communities in growing and buying companies across diverse sectors.MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenous governments, businesses and entrepreneurs in Canada. With more than 250 Indigenous clients and 300 team members dedicated to this sector, no other firm has invested as much time and resources into serving the unique needs of Indigenous communities.ResponsibilitiesBuild, refine, and audit financial models that drive investment decisionsSupport buy-side transactions and partnership evaluations in private equity and private marketsDevelop high-quality PowerPoint presentations and client deliverables that tell a clear storyConduct detailed research and data collection from clients, public sources, and expert interviewsPerform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendationsCoordinate project logistics, manage workplans and deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients and internal teamsIdentify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients and strengthen long-term relationships with Indigenous communities and partnersPropose, plan and support delivery of consulting engagementsMaintain flexibility to travel, as necessarySkills and ExperienceCPA designation (or near complete) required; recent writer or newly designated preferred.3-4 years of relevant experience (public practice, transaction services, valuation, infrastructure/project finance, or adjacent finance roles)Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointStrong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex topics to executives and community stakeholdersExperience with M&A, private equity, or transaction finance is an assetBilingual in English and French is an assetProfessional or personal experience with Indigenous communities is an assetMyRewards@MNPMore than a paycheque, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards for our team members.
