These are the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota and Saulteaux peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis.The bigger pictureAs a Financial Advisor, you are responsible for understanding our members’ financial goals and supporting their achievement through the provision of sound financial advice. This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products to new and existing non-portfolio aligned members. This role is the foundation for your career as a Financial Advisor at Conexus, giving you hands-on experience supporting members’ everyday banking needs and future financial plans. Over time, you’ll build the expertise needed to specialize in either lending or investments.How you’ll be spending your timeMember Experience and SalesProactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievementProvide account, investment and lending products, within scope of position, to meet member needs:Memberships and accounts including lines of creditConsumer investment products (excluding mutual funds)Non-complex consumer lending productsCardsRegistered productsSafety deposit boxesMobile banking solutionsDay to day banking needsConduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and servicesIncrease retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfactionCompliance and organizational supportEnsure complete, accurate and timely documentationAdhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controlsEnsure healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)Positively represent Conexus externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaborationProactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficienciesProvide support, assistance and backup as required for retail teamThe way people describe youYou’re a quick thinker, a keen listener and eager to help others.
