Director, Corporate Finance and Control Export Development Canada (EDC) – Ottawa, Ontario Application deadline: December 12, 2025 Employment type: Permanent (Full-time) Location: Hybrid: office 3 days per week. Compensation: Salaries typically range from $127,380 to $169,838 annually, plus a performance‑based incentive. What You Will Be Doing Establish and maintain accounting policies and controls; prepare financial reports. Perform general accounting activities and maintain accounting and financial records, including general ledger, statements, regulatory and management reports. Prepare, analyze, and report accounting transactions ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies. Ensure all reports and disclosures comply with government regulations, professional standards, and organization policies. Responsible for financial regulatory and compliance reporting. Provide accounting guidance to ensure conformity with IFRS and company policies; lead implementation of new IFRS. Lead the use of modern tools and techniques to streamline reporting and provide better insights. Lead performance and skill/career development of assigned staff; provide indirect leadership across teams within Corporate Finance and Control. Ensure team capacity and capability to address organizational needs; accountable for performance of related teams. Develop strategy for area of accountability; partner with Enterprise Analytics and Forecasting team. Work closely with external auditors and internal audit on various engagements. Support the Vice‑President on oversight of incentive measures. Demonstrate customer focus, transparency, decisiveness; influence a wide range of audiences. Establish collaborative relationships within the organization. What We Are Looking For Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field. Professional accounting designation. Advanced knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles. Minimum 10 years’ experience in Corporate Finance and Control or related area. 5–10 years of leadership experience. Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to influence at all organizational levels. Excellent leadership skills with sound guidance and coaching; high integrity. Superior oral and written communication skills; ability to convey complex subject matter clearly. Ability to influence wide audiences and build collaborative relationships. Ability to present and defend complex issues that impact business success. Bilingual in English and French (for leadership roles). What Will Make You Stand Out Experience in financial services and/or Crown corporation environment. Accounting experience in pension and taxation.
