Neuropsychologist | Temporary Full Time

A Neuropsychologist is required to offer neuropsychological services to children and youth presenting with complex mental health issues within an Outpatient Mental Health setting within a clinical research study. Services to be provided include comprehensive neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis, consultation, and collaboration with clinicians for cognitive-function-based treatment adaptations. The Neuropsychologist will be a member of an interdisciplinary team devoted to providing specialized mental health services for children and youth presenting with a variety of mental health conditions. This individual will also provide ongoing consultation to team members, professionals within the hospital, families, and community providers. With the PCYMH Collaboratory, this individual will join a research team looking to implement a new cognitive function-informed care pathways to improve outcomes in child and youth mental health.* Provide neuropsychological assessment in the patient’s preferred language within an outpatient mental health setting for children and youth presenting with a variety of mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression etc.).* Provide consultation and collaboration with clinicians for cognitive-function-based treatment adaptations regarding children and youth seen for neuropsychological assessment.* Collaborate with the Mental Health Neuropsychology team through peer reviews and occasional joint meetings, fostering cross-team integration and knowledge sharing.* Liaise with other health professionals within the Mental Health outpatient settings regarding neuropsychological assessment findings and recommendations, and their implications for the management of the child or youth.* Provide supervision/training to pre-doctoral psychology residents and practicum students.* Provide supervision to psychometrists assisting in the provision of neuropsychological services.* Co-design implementation strategies, support implementation, program evaluation and other research activities.* Doctoral degree in Psychology with a focus in clinical neuropsychology from a CPA or APA accredited clinical psychology program (Essential)* Registration as a Psychologist in Ontario with a designated practice area in clinical neuropsychology with children and adolescents (Consideration will also be given to those under supervised practice for registration (Essential)* Experience in a paediatric health-care setting (Essential)* Demonstrated experience with the administration and interpretation of comprehensive neuropsychological assessments in a paediatric population (Essential)* Demonstrated knowledge about neurocognitive risk factors associated with various complex mental health and/or medical/surgical conditions (Essential)* Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team (Essential)* Bilingual - Fluency in both French and English (Preferred)* Supervision Experience (Preferred)* Fournir une évaluation neuropsychologique dans la langue préférée du patient ou de la patiente dans un contexte de santé mentale en service externe pour les enfants et les jeunes présentant divers problèmes de santé mentale (p. ex. anxiété, dépression)* Offrir des services de consultation et collaborer auprès de cliniciennes et cliniciens pour l’adaptation de traitements axés sur la fonction cognitive des enfants et adolescents faisant l’objet d’une évaluation neuropsychologique.* Collaborer avec l’équipe de neuropsychologie en santé mentale par le biais d’évaluations par les pairs et de réunions conjointes occasionnelles afin de favoriser l’intégration interéquipe et le partage des connaissances.* Assurer la liaison avec d’autres professionnels de la santé dans un contexte de santé mentale en service externe en ce qui concerne les conclusions de l’évaluation neuropsychologique, les recommandations et leurs répercussions sur la gestion de l’enfant ou du jeune.* Assurer la supervision et la formation des résidentes et résidents en psychologie prédoctorale ainsi qu’aux étudiantes et étudiants en stage.* Assurer la supervision des psychométriciennes et psychométriciens qui soutiennent la prestation des services neuropsychologiques.* Contribuer à la conception conjointe de stratégies de mise en œuvre et appuyer la mise en œuvre des initiatives et participer à l’évaluation des programmes et d’autres activités de recherche.* Doctorat avec concentration en neuropsychologie clinique d’un programme de psychologie clinique agréé par la Société canadienne de psychologie ou l’American Psychological Association (Essentiel)* Inscription à titre de psychologue en Ontario, avec un domaine de pratique désigné en neuropsychologie clinique auprès des enfants et des adolescents. On tiendra compte de la candidature des personnes en exercice sous supervision (Essentiel)* Expérience dans un milieu de soins de santé pédiatriques (Essentiel)* Expérience démontrée de la réalisation et de l’interprétation d’évaluations neuropsychologiques exhaustives auprès d’une population pédiatrique (Essentiel)* Connaissance démontrée des facteurs de risque neurocognitifs associés à divers problèmes complexes de santé mentale et/ou médicaux/chirurgicaux (essentiel)* Capacité de travailler avec une équipe interdisciplinaire (Essentiel)* Bilingue – Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (Souhaitable)* Expérience de la supervision (Souhaitable)CHEO is much more than a hospital.
