Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst on an initial 6 month contract to support an Information Security Assessment initiative. The Senior Business Analyst (BA) will collaborate with the project team members including their business partners to collect, clarify, and map business processes into the underlying technology components.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in planning sessions to understand how data is collected, processed and storedWork with stakeholders to collect information on processes, procedures, guidelines to support best practice standardsPerform reviews of related business processes, procedures and controls, making recommendations for remediationTranslate findings and controls into actionable tasks and drive remediation effortsReview specific data flows and identify technology components, interfaces, and opportunities to simplify and improve data collection, storage and transmission for specific business groupsBuild, sustain and leverage relationships with individuals within his/her area of immediate responsibility when investigating and assessing systems/processes to establish a comfort level in managing relationships and understanding business needs and assurance that a quality result will be deliveredIdentify inconsistencies and gaps within a business process description and collaborate with stakeholders to clarify and simplify complex processesFacilitate investigative and assessment sessions, including leading discussions, managing group dynamics, and maintaining group focus, to work towards accomplishing the stated goal(s) of the session within the context of the project objectivesSupport the creation of a discovery reportUtilize corporate standard software, templates, and tools to create documentation in accordance with PMO standardsQualifications8+ years of progressive business analysis experience, supporting smaller to medium size projectsSolid understanding of Payment Card Industry Data Security StandardsVaried experience in business process re-engineering projectsStrong understanding of PMLC/ SDLC methodology and processesSolution-focused and takes initiative to work effectively and efficiently within established guidelinesStrong organizational, time management, analysis and attention to detail and follow-up with project stakeholdersWell developed negotiation, influencing, interpersonal relationship building and listening skillsExcellent written / verbal communication, documentation skills and professional maturityAble to effectively prioritize, multi-task and flourish in a fast paced, deadline-driven work environmentConsistently demonstrates and reinforces organizational valuesExcellent knowledge of MS Office and other related technology requirementsThis is a minimum 6 month contract role located in downtown Toronto #J-18808-Ljbffr
