Senior Construction Project Manager

About the Role We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the construction lifecycle of industrial design-build projects. This role is responsible for scheduling, permitting, trade coordination, construction execution, and project completion while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has 3–8 years of progressive project management experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure construction. This role requires strong leadership, financial oversight, and stakeholder communication, along with the ability to mentor Design-Build Project Coordinators and collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution Lead and manage multiple industrial design-build projects from pre-construction through completion. Oversee scheduling, permitting, trade coordination, procurement, and construction execution. Ensure projects meet budget, timeline, and quality objectives. Identify and mitigate risks, resolving challenges to maintain project momentum. Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring transparency and high-quality service. Conduct project meetings, progress updates, and reporting to keep stakeholders informed. Manage client expectations, providing solutions to challenges as they arise. Financial & Budget Management Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability. Review and approve change orders, progress billings, and cost reports. Work with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to optimize cost efficiency. Trade & Site Coordination Collaborate with Project Coordinators, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors for seamless execution. Oversee trade management, ensuring subcontractors meet scope, quality, and timelines. Monitor site progress, troubleshooting construction challenges in real time. Mentorship & Leadership Development Mentor Design-Build Project Coordinators, supporting their career growth. Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture with a focus on continuous improvement. Contribute to strategic planning, operational efficiency, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications ✔️ Experience: 3–8 years of progressive project management experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure construction. ✔️ Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. ✔️ Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of design-build construction, permitting, trade coordination, and financial management. ✔️ Software Proficiency: Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, and project management software. ✔️ Certifications: PMP or Gold Seal Certification is an asset.
Technical & Interpersonal Skills Technical Skills: Strong budgeting, cost control, and scheduling experience. Ability to interpret and manage contracts, change orders, and risk assessments. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industrial construction processes. Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and mentor teams. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. Effective problem-solving and ability to handle high-pressure situations. Collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
Compensation & Location This is a full-time position that is available for immediate hire. A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that will include a base salary, performance bonus, monthly auto allowance, PTO, and comprehensive benefits.
