They are looking for a talented and motivated Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join their dynamic team and contribute to our growing portfolio of projects.

Position Overview:

As a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) you will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and project managers. You will be involved in a variety of civil engineering projects, including transportation, municipal infrastructure, land development, and environmental engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to collect data and assess project conditions.
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design, including grading, drainage, and utility systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and other engineers.
  • Support the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of environmental impact assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
