You will be responsible for driving forward team development, supporting staff, and ensuring that the voices of patients and their families are heard and respected.If you are passionate about empowering both staff and service users and are committed to upholding the highest standards of care, we would love to hear from you.Main duties of the jobAbility to travel independently and in a timely manner across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to meet strict deadlines.As part of this 12-month maternity cover secondment, the Ward Manager will provide expert nursing and clinical care to support holistic, person-centred care for individuals with mental health needs.The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Lead and multidisciplinary teams to maintain and improve high standards of patient care and experience, promote collaborative care planning, and facilitate family and carer involvement in discharge planning.Responsibilities include leading and coaching staff, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and Trust policies, managing risk and safeguarding processes, and maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.The Ward Manager will also oversee staff development, performance management, and resource allocation, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, effective communication, and high-quality patient experience.
