Location: Ottawa and Summerside Office (Hybrid)

At BluWave-ai our mission is to deliver innovative AI solutions to accelerate the transformation towards renewable energy. We apply AI software to increase the use of clean energy in smart grids and microgrids with distributed energy resources and demand response. We are also driving the transition to electrification of transportation as the grid becomes the local gas station.

Your Responsibilities
  • Own and operate all aspects of the mobile form-factor front-ends of our product platform (React Native forAndroid, iOS, mobile web app)
  • Collaborate with product managementand engineering groups to build and support product
  • Cover all phases of the development lifecycle, from estimating, planning, design to testing and deployment and support
  • Be the subject matter expert of your ownership areas of the product
  • Participate in evolving the team’s processes so we’re efficient, and loving what we do
Your Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

Required:

  • Experience in React Native mobile app developmentfor iOS, and Android platforms (phone form factor)
  • Understanding best practicesin mobile apps that has interaction with backend APIs
  • Understanding how to create reusable components
  • Understanding how to design for and write automated unit tests
  • Experiencepublishing apps to the Apple App Store, and Google Play Store and releasing additional updates (even if it's just for yourself)
  • A track record of problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Clear verbal and written communication and the ability collaborate effectively in a geographically dispersed working environment

Considered an asset:

  • Auth0 on React Native experience
  • Google Cloud Messaging experience for Push Notifications management
  • Redux in the context of React Native experience
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and mobile app optimization techniques
  • NodeJS Express experience
  • Single-page Web Application experience
  • React Native development for Tablet form factors
  • Understand what consumers experience owning an Electric Vehicle
