Our Vancouver-based client is a well-funded start-up that is building next generation SaaS productivity tools that target the B2B market. Growing rapidly, they seek a talented Senior Data Scientist to join their dynamic team of developers and data scientists.You will be enabling third party integrations and developing enhanced functionality for their suite of productivity tools. The environment is a highly-scalable cloud platform. The team is an experienced group of entrepreneurs and developers with proven track records of success.They seek a Senior Data Scientist — someone with current skills and a strong background with NLP. This person will provide mentorship for a small team of data and machine learning engineers.The ideal candidate has a PHD — this is a very nice to have but an equivalent blend of a Masters and experience can work. There is also a need for experience with building end-to-end training models for a product. Experience with transformation architecture is highly desirable.Key SkillsMasters or PHD in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field3+ years of experience in natural language processing, machine learningStrong coding skills, ideally PythonGood experience with common NLP and ML toolkitsA background in research and product developmentThe office is located in the heart of Vancouver. You will be working in a hybrid environment (two days a week in the office).The salary is competitive, the benefits are excellent, and stocks are part of the original compensation package.The product is world-class.
