Your Opportunity Elk Point Healthcare Centre has an opportunity for a passionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) dedicated to patient‑ and family‑centered care. This role is an integral part of a multidisciplinary long‑term care team in a 30‑bed facility. You will build meaningful relationships as you work with clients daily, providing personal assistance and support services to those in your care. Responsibilities Provide direct client care with genuine interest and respect for clients and families. Utilize critical thinking, problem solving, and decision‑making skills as part of an interprofessional health care team. Maintain a safe environment, observe and report on patients’ health and well‑being, and ensure effective communication with clients, families, caregivers, and health professionals. Play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting AHS shared vision and values. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP). 1 year LPN experience in a long‑term care, home care, or acute care setting within the last 3 years. Preferred Qualifications Supportive Pathways or any dementia‑related courses. Recent Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention completion. Experience in palliative care. Experience with nail care.
