We're building an intuitive platform that empowers professors to optimize workflows, streamline hiring, and identify top talent, while guiding students towards their dream academic positions.The RoleWe're seeking a talented and passionate Backend Developer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in building the scalable and robust foundation of our platform. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing key backend functionalities that power ScholarLink\'s AI-driven matching system, user management, data pipelines, and more.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with frontend developers, data scientists, and product managers to understand user needs and translate them into robust backend solutions.Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and secure backend APIs using strong programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Django, Spring).Implement efficient data structures and algorithms to ensure optimal performance and scalability of the platform.Integrate with third-party APIs and services to enable core functionalities.Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.Participate in code reviews and contribute to establishing coding best practices.Identify and troubleshoot backend issues to ensure smooth platform operation.Stay up-to-date with the latest backend development technologies and trends.QualificationsBachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).+3 years of experience developing backend applications for web or mobile platforms.Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).Solid understanding of web application architecture (MVC, RESTful APIs).Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Passion for building innovative and user-centric applications.BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.Be part of a mission-driven team that is revolutionizing academic connections.Make a real impact on the future of education.Continuous learning and development opportunities.Join us and help us unlock the full potential of academiaTo ApplyIf you are a talented Backend Developer who is excited to build the future of academic connections, we encourage you to apply Please submit your resume and cover letter explaining why you\'re the perfect fit for ScholarLink. #J-18808-Ljbffr
