They are actively seeking Electrical Engineers to join their team on a long‑term contract basis in the Montreal area.This person will be working on Hydro Quebec projects through our client.ResponsibilitiesAnalysis and Design of a Rooftop Solar Power System Connection1. Analysis of Existing Electrical Installations: The appointed engineer will conduct a complete analysis of the building’s existing electrical installations, including but not limited to:Review and evaluation of existing electrical components (distribution, panels, switchgear, protection devices, and related equipment).Analysis of the existing electrical grid’s capacity to integrate a rooftop photovoltaic system.Validation of the photovoltaic system’s compliance and connection capacity to the client’s internal grid and to Hydro‑Québec’s distribution network.Identification of technical constraints, capacity limitations, and any required corrective measures.2. Electrical Design of the Photovoltaic System: The engineer will be responsible for the complete electrical design of the connection system, including:Development of detailed AC and DC electrical diagrams for the photovoltaic system (single‑line diagrams, interconnections, connection points).Determination and sizing of the required conductors, protective devices, panels, switching and control equipment.Coordination of the system with existing equipment to ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of the connection.Integration of applicable Hydro‑Québec technical requirements and current standards.3. Technical Documentation and Regulatory Compliance: The engineer will be responsible for producing all required documentation, including:Sealed and signed technical plans and documents, compliant with the requirements of the relevant authorities.Documentation required to obtain municipal permits and to comply with the Quebec Construction Code (CNB) and the Canadian Electrical Code.Complete technical file for calls for tenders and bids from contractors, including technical criteria and requirementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Strong knowledge of installation processes, quality control, and electrical design.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.Solid understanding of engineering principles and ability to interpret technical drawings.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.Application ProcessAll Qualified candidates will be contacted.Equal Opportunity Employer StatementInVision is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind.
