Anesthesia Technician Team Lead Req ID: 213954 | Location: Dartmouth General Hospital, Central Zone | Department: OPCZ PERI Anaesthesia DGH | Position Type: Temporary, Full-time, 100% | Posting Close Date: 30-Dec-25 About the Opportunity Reporting to the Health Services Manager of Anesthesia Services, the Anesthesia Technician Team Lead is an integral member of the health care team. Responsibilities include effective utilization of human resources, equipment and supplies for the Department of Anesthesia; providing technical assistance perioperatively; maintaining inventory; ensuring a safe, aseptic environment; and providing clinical leadership. The Team Lead will work within the DGH site and outside the operating room environment as required. Responsibilities Manage human resources, equipment, and supplies for the Anesthesia department. Provide skilled technical assistance perioperatively and maintain inventory levels. Ensure a safe and aseptic environment by adhering to safety regulations and standards. Act as a liaison with other team members and departments to provide safe and effective coverage. Provide technical assistance to Anesthesiologists with supplies and monitoring equipment. Adjust controls, pass supplies, infuse fluids and monitor anesthesia delivery equipment. About You Certificate/diploma program in Anesthesia Technology. Minimum 3 years experience as an Anesthesia Technician. Previous experience in an anesthesia team lead/supervisor position preferred. Demonstrated leadership and conflict management skills. BCLS certification. Training in education/preceptorship, leadership preferred. Effective communication with medical professionals. Reliable, self‑starter capable of independent action. Well‑developed decision making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills. Competency in other languages considered an asset; French preferred. Hours 1 year full‑time long assignment; 75 hours bi‑weekly. Compensation and Benefits $32.61 – $38.81 per hour.
