JOB TITLE: Finance Controller REPORTS TO: General Manager and Corporate Director of Finance DEPARTMENT: Finance JOB SUMMARY: T hissenior l evelmanagementposition i sresponsibleforoverseeingallfinancial aspectsofthecompany,includ i ngforecasting,budgeting, t i merely financia l report i ng,cashflowmanagement,accountsrece i vab l e,accounts payable, p ayro ll ,ticket process i ng and national/provincial tax filings . SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial information, including daily operating reports, capital reports, general ledger and income statements, forecasts and budgets Oversee Accounts Payable Oversee Accounts Receivable Prepare all HST/GST tax returns Complete month end closing process and forecasts Prepare bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet Analysis Assist the General Manager in providing leadership to all departments, including providing strategic direction needed to ensure accurate reporting and planning for the property Qualifications Applicant should have at least 2 years progressive financial experience Knowledge of entertainment/leisure industry financial operations is preferred but not required, as well as strong leadership qualities Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required Experience in budgeting and forecasting preferred but not required Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws, federal and provincial requirements is preferred but not required Excellent organization skills and an ability to establish priorities with little direction Must possess strong oral and written English language and grammar skills Experience with MS Word, Excel, and computerized financial systems preferred but not required Knowledge of MS Great Plains accounting systems is an asset Must be at least 18 years of age Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
