The Vice President, Employee & Labour Relations, Diversity and Governance is seeking a professional to assist in developing key deliverables and providing day‑to‑day project management support for several high‑impact, high‑visibility initiatives. Within the Human Resources Leadership Team (“HRLT”), an agile “People Solutions Team” has been established to bring together HR colleagues to action and solve critical deliverables in support of our People & HR Function strategy pillars. Responsibilities Lead the development of the People Solutions Team from ideation through to policy, governance and best‑practice development for its operating model. Play a lead role in executing projects and activities directly related to the agile team, ensuring stakeholders align with our strategic aspirations and goals. Accountable for successful delivery of the team’s projects and assigned work. Research and stay current on internal and external activities that may impact the firm’s strategic agenda. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to accomplish multiple assignments on an ongoing, agile basis. Create and maintain tracking and reporting tools as necessary. Take the lead on development of executive‑level briefings, communications, presentations and content, including owning HR collateral shared with the ELT, the CEO and Hydro One’s Board of Directors. Support ad‑hoc activities related to the day‑to‑day operation of the HRLT and its organization and governance. Selection Criteria Post‑secondary degree required; preference given to applicants with a background in Human Resources, Business or Communications. Experience interacting with C‑Suite or Board of Directors in an administrative capacity is an asset. High level of intellectual curiosity, versatility, flexibility and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong self‑starter who can work independently and knows when to make decisions or escalate. Superior project, time, and relationship management skills. Ability to run/lead several projects simultaneously and autonomously in a detail‑oriented manner, working well under pressure while maintaining confidentiality. High degree of self‑confidence, poise, maturity, diplomacy and empathy. Creativity, strategy and analytical thinking, and flexibility are critical to the position.
