Our office is WELL Health-Safety Certified, designed to promote a safe and healthy atmosphere where every team member can thrive.Duties and ResponsibilitiesImplement the design concept through the preparation of mechanical (HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing and Drainage Systems) detailed design, production drawings and schematics, create specifications, and equipment selection for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings using AutoCAD and/or RevitConduct heating and cooling load calculationsWork with the project team and Project Manager to ensure quality and timely delivery of projectsReview shop drawings to confirm they adhere to project requirementsPerform general duties as required such as printing, plotting, scanning, conversion, quantity take-offs and measurementOther duties as assignedQualifications and RequirementsDegree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field4+ years’ work experience in Mechanical Design (HVAC & Plumbing emphasis)Engineer in Training (EIT) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) an assetDemonstrated experience working on various commercial, industrial, and/or institutional buildingsKnowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian National Building Code (NBC), Ontario Building Code (OBC), etc.The ability to read piping sketches, schematics, and wiring diagramsExcellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on various tasksSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsPosition DetailsType: Full-timeLocation: Scarborough, ONEligibility: Applicants must be eligible to work in CanadaHow to ApplyInterested candidates should submit their application for consideration.
